1. Eligibility — 18+
fine is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. By using fine, you represent that you are 18 or older. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and EMOTIONX PTE. LTD. ("EmotionX," "we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms or to our Privacy Policy, do not use fine.
2. What fine is — and is not
fine is a wellness and self-reflection tool offering AI-assisted conversation, journaling, mood and body tracking, guided exercises, and audio experiences.
fine is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. It is not therapy, counseling, or professional mental-health care, and using it does not create a therapist–client or clinician–patient relationship. It is not a crisis or emergency service.
If you are in crisis or think you may harm yourself or others, stop and contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately. fine can surface helpline information, but it cannot intervene. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with any question about a medical or mental-health condition, and never disregard professional advice because of something in fine.
3. AI-generated content
fine uses artificial intelligence. You are always interacting with an AI system, not a human. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation, and should not be relied on as fact or as professional advice. You are responsible for how you act on it.
4. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use fine for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store terms. We and our licensors retain all rights in the App, including its software, content, and trademarks.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use fine if you are under 18;
- use fine for emergencies or as a substitute for professional care;
- misuse, reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack the App or its AI;
- upload unlawful content, or other people's personal data without the right to do so; or
- use fine to harm yourself or others.
Where you publish or share content through community features, you are responsible for that content, and our community standards and reporting tools apply.
6. Subscriptions, trials, auto-renewal & refunds
fine offers an optional Premium auto-renewing subscription:
- US$24.90 / month or US$239 / year, each with a 30-day free trial (and promotional codes where offered). Pricing may vary by region and is shown to you at purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Trials. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first period.
- Billing. Payment is handled by Apple or Google (through our billing provider, RevenueCat); we do not process or store your card details.
- Refunds are governed by Apple's and Google's policies; request them through the relevant store.
7. Account & termination
You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to it secure. You may stop using fine and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account Info → Delete Account, or through our data-deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for legal or safety reasons. Provisions that by their nature survive termination — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — continue to apply.
8. Disclaimers of warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, fine is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of AI output or the service.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EmotionX and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decisions made or actions taken in reliance on fine or its AI output. Our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including, in some jurisdictions, for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify EmotionX against claims arising from your misuse of fine or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Changes to the App or these Terms
We may modify the App or these Terms. We will notify you of material changes in the App or by email, change the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes are subject to the courts of Singapore. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence (including in the EU and UK) are not affected by this clause.
13. Apple & Google terms
Your use is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms (Apple's standard EULA applies unless superseded by these Terms) and the Google Play Terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or for providing support for it. Where required, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
